Scott Gawlik, D.P.M., F.A.C.F.A.S.

Dr. Gawlik is a board certified Podiatric Physican and Surgeon who, for over twenty years, has been on the cutting edge of the finest and latest advances in Podiatric Medicine at our office.

Dr. Gawlik joined the Northwell Health System at Northshore and LIJ University Hospitals this past summer having previously led an exemplary practice at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital for twenty years. He began his career as the Chief Resident at Methodist where he received extensive training in diabetic foot care including advanced wound care management and limb salvage techniques. Dr. Gawlik is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine/Temple University School of Medicine.

Through our Great Neck, New York office, Dr. Gawlik has direct access to the Northwell Health Wound Care Center to treat some of the most difficult cases of diabetic foot pathology.

Dr. Gawlik brings a unique sense of understanding to the practice of Podiatry. He routinely treats the most complex injuries while providing sensitive and caring attention to every patient. He believes that the surgical experience is best when a doctor communicates easily with a patient; where positive results include a patient’s full understanding of the pre and post-operative process. He offers the most current and advanced techniques available, including the latest advancements in foot and ankle biomechanical assessments; that aid in correcting many foot conditions at the developmental stage. As a star athlete for a Division 1 soccer team, he learned the special aspects that attend to sports activity and sports medicine.

Dr. Gawlik is: Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Immediate Past President of the New York Podiatric Medical Association (Kings County Division), and a Clinical instructor for the Northwell Health System. Together with Dr. Pliskin, he provides the highest level of care and outcomes during elective and non-elective surgery.
